Full success at whale watching, good customer service”

Our whale watching tour started with a little bump – our reservation was pushed from 14.30 to 13.00 due to weather conditions, but staff was very kind and they gave us enough time to get there in time and also reimbursed us for the shorter trip.
The crew on board of a very solid boat was very kind and professional. There was also a complimentary hot chocolate and cinnamon bun – which was great because the weather was very cold and windy.
We have seen 3 humpback whales swimming together and it was a marvelous experience.

We saw whales!”

We chose this tour as we wanted the eco friendly version (a quiet, electric boat). Unfortunately the person at the sales counter did not inform us of this when we booked. There are other tours going at the same time that are cheaper, and we paid more to get the eco friendly version. We saw the other tour boats at the same places. All the tours saw whales. That being said, I was happy with the whales we saw. We saw at least 3 or 4 different humpbacks and one Minke as well as a lot of sea birds, including puffins. Our tour guide was funny and friendly.

“Breathtaking outdoor experience!”

If this is your first time whale watching, make sure that you book the Husavik Original Whale Watching tour. The crew is very knowledgeable and skillful. As soon as my partner and I set foot on board we felt safe and ready to marvel at nature’s grandeur. It didn’t take long before we spotted the first big friendly giant. In between seeing the whales we were educated by the guide and were kindly offered a hot chocolate and cinnamon bun in the end. Highly recommended tour!
p.s. You get a special suit before you go out to the ocean but extra layers of clothing are recommended.

“Orca’s & Puffins”
Reviewed 1 week ago via mobile
We drove up from Myvatn for a 2pm tour. The boats are fantastic, quite stable. You are supplied warm full overalls to wear (and they keep you dry and warm from the wind).
The 3-hr tour flies by. The commentary by the educated host (Celine) is very insightful and gives you the necessary tips on how to spot whales. The sail by Puffin Island was brilliant, thousands of puffins flying-swimming …. great for photos.
But, the highlight for us had to be orca’s! Two pods swimming peacefully …. the boats stay a considerate distance but you still get amazing photo opportunities.
In the way back to Harbour a few minke whales were on show. We didn’t see the humpbacks (maybe a blow earlier, but nothing surfaced), and we hear the morning tour saw dolphins.
You are offered hot chocolate and a cinnamon scroll about 40-mins from port, and there’s a small display of whale baleen and books on wildlife of the bay, including the different species of whales.
We really enjoyed the tour. The company were great, all staff friendly. They have a cafe (with restroom facilities) right by the dock, so all you need to do is a book a ticket and arrive!

Lovely whale watching tour in May”
Reviewed 1 week ago NEW via mobile
We had great weather end of May with with sun and almost no clouds which made it a perfect day for the tour. We saw some humpback whales a few minutes into the trip just outside the harbour. We sighted some more humpbacks and some puffins a bit further out which I believe is quite okay seeing that summer has just started here. All guides were really nice and we were offered some hot chocolate and cinnamon buns on our way back. Information about the whales was given throughout the trip.

“Great Experience”

We saw 4 whales on our 3 hour trip. Everything was great and the staff was super friendly. Would highly recommend. Just keep in mind that even on a calm day, those waters can be pretty choppy. Not ideal with those prone to motion sickness

We took the last boat out to the sea which was close to 5pm. Mind you, the return trip lasted for 3-hours, so we arrived back to base around 7-ish pm. Way out to the middle of the sea took us close to an hour, to an area where it was recently reported of whale sightings. Unexpectedly, there were a..
